Advancing Biotechnology R&D in Canada: A New Milestone for Pouyan Innovation
June 2026
Pouyan Innovation Inc. is pleased to share an important milestone in the advancement of its biotechnology research and development activities in Canada.
As part of our long-term R&D strategy, Pouyan Innovation has completed key regulatory reviews related to two proprietary bacterial strains, Bacillus subtilis “Caspian 11” and Bacillus pumilus “Dena 2 Sirri.”
Developed through approximately 10 years of prior research, both strains are formally registered in the NCBI GenBank and have been classified as Risk Group 1 (RG1) following assessment by the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC).
Pouyan Innovation has also completed regulatory consultations with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) regarding the planned research activities. Progress for web form Sep 2026.pdf
The next stage of our R&D will explore potential industrial applications of these strains, with particular emphasis on bioplastic development and sustainable materials.
This initiative complements our broader work in automation, software, manufacturing, and industrial technology, including our automated garment covering technology and our ongoing efforts to explore more environmentally responsible garment covering materials.
This milestone represents another important step in Pouyan Innovation’s continued journey from research and development to practical, sustainable technology in Canada.
